Radio Memphis Around the World airs every Saturday afternoon from 1:00 PM CT - 5:00 PM CT.  This is when Radio Memphis gets to step outside of Memphis and the Midsouth to listen to all kinds and styles of music from other cities and countries.  And we’re here to tell you, our planet rocks. 

Because of this, Dianna gets a lot of mail.  She has decided that what better way to share even more information about the artists and the music that she gets to play on Saturdays then to share the actual messages that she receives from these artists with you.

RMOD - Bob Emmer

During Radio Memphis Around the World Saturday, July 14th, Dianna got to catch up with Bob Emmer (Co-Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder of video/ music company Shout!Factory)​ to talk about his career in the music business, which includes his 12 year relationships with Rhino Entertainment as it's Executive Vice President, his stint as Senior Vice President/Business Affairs to Warner Music Group (whose record labels include Elektra, Warner Bros, Atlantic and Rhino Entertainment ) as well as, his time as Senior Vice-President/Creative and Business Affairs with Alive Enterprises, a multi-faceted entertainment management and production company.  His early career includes assisting in the commercial development of numerous music talents, including Alice Cooper, Blondie and Teddy Pendergrass. Dianna wanted to open Pandora's box with Bob and she is even asked him about being the Executive Producer/Creator of the NBC late night music show Rock 'n Roll Tonight the legendary live TV broadcast that broke some of the top acts for the 80's like Billy Squire, Scandal and others and executed with one of the truest indie spirits as the music world was changing.

RMOD - Dennis Walker

While celebrating the station's 7th anniversary, The legendary Dennis Walker (producer/songwriter/musician) checked in with Dianna during Radio Memphis Around the World to talk about his collaboration with indie U.K. artist Malaya Blue​; as well as his phenomenal career working alongside the likes of Robert Cray​, BB King​, John Campbell, Bettye LaVette, Karen Lovely, Buddy Guy​, Philip Walker, Otis Rush, Boz Scaggs and many more.

RMOD - Gary Vasey

Gary Vasey  is "a Yorkshire man and rabid Tigers fan that has spent most of his adult life lost deep in Texas and more lately, in the Czech Republic. While lucky enough to write for a living as a leading analyst in the commodity trading and risk management industry, he surreptitiously writes strange poems and equally strange books and stories on the topics of metaphysics, the occult and the paranormal on the side, hoping that one-day, someone might actually buy them."

The news that Malaya Blue is the 1st UK Artist to work with renowned US Songwriter & Producer Dennis Walker (B.B. King, Robert Cray, Bettye LaVette, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush Boz Scaggs) is sending ripples around the music world.  Malaya and her manager Steve Yourglivch called in from the U.K. during Radio Memphis Around the World this past Saturday (May 19^th, 2018) to catch up with D to talk about where the musical direction is going and what impact that working with this legendary, award- winning producer has made on Malaya.  Did you miss this conversation?
